The face behind the name…

Hey there friend! My name is Dana Finnegan. I am the creator and voice of The Root Perspective and the actual practitioner you will work with as a client here!

I am a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and Educator on a mission. I want to support your search for a natural approach to chronic symptoms that impact your ability to feel good and show up in your life as your best self.

To be completely honest, I created The Root Perspective because I needed it. I have been in your shoes and understand the struggle is real when it comes to addressing women’s health concerns that don’t fit the box of modern medicine. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition and have worked through issues like SIBO, dysbiosis, candida, IBS, hormonal imbalances… just to name a few! After being prescribed medication, I was told there was nothing else I could do. This broke my spirit and pushed me to take my health into my own hands, and I am so grateful that I did. I know many women have had a similar experience. You’re not alone and you deserve to be heard. You don’t have to feel like this forever. You are the reason I am here.

So what exactly is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional Therapy is a whole-person, food-first approach that looks deeply at the impact of lifestyle and nutrition habits on the absorption and utilization of nutrients. These nutrients are needed to support and correct imbalances within the body that often lead to the symptoms and dis-ease we experience.

Believe it or not, it can be as simple as eating the right foods and adopting lifestyle habits that support the body’s ability to function properly!
